Question
Why are some device names not displayed?
Answer
NOTE: The Fing device scanner feature is available in the SURFboard Central app when paired with a cable modem.

Some client devices will display an IP Address instead of the device name and the device icon does not reflect the device type in the device list.  A few factors can happen as the client device is not detected by Internet of Things (IoT), MAC Address is randomized, and iOS devices do not share MAC Address information.
