Answer | The G18/G20 Parental Control feature provides the ability to manage Internet access to all client devices in the home network. Â Internet access is blocked by setting up one of the two access types:
- Allow All - Allow all client devices access to the Internet and add client devices to block access.
- Block All - Block all client devices access to the Internet and add client devices to allow access.
The Parental Control feature also uses the Router Time located within Gateway - Time Settings of the Web Manager.  By default, Parental Control is disabled, which allows all Internet access to all the client devices.  This document contains the following sections:
Allow All Access Setup When the Allow All access type is selected, all client devices have access to the Internet. Â Client devices in the home network can be added to block Internet access. Â This is the recommended setup, as client devices will only need to be added to block Internet access when needed. Â
- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key. The https:// Redirect page will appear.Â
  - The SURFboard Web Manager is redirecting to a more secure connection, click the Proceed button to continue.  The Gateway > Login page will appear.
   - A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to bypass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
NOTE: The Home Network Wizard will appear if this is the first time accessing the Web Manager. For assistance with the wizard, refer to article # 19602 - G18/G20: Web Manager First Time Login.  - The Username field has admin populated, enter the custom password in the Password field.
NOTE: If the Login page prompts for email address and password, retrieve the email address and password in the app to sign in. For detailed instructions in the app, refer to article # 19069 - SURFboard Central: Web Manager Access.  - Click the Login button.  The Gateway > Summary page will appear.
 - On the left-hand menu, click the Parental Control link. The Parental Control > Managed Sites page will appear.
 - Click the Managed Devices sub-menu link. The Parental Control > Managed Devices page will appear.
 - Click the Enable button for the Managed Device option, then click the Allow All button for the Access Type option.Â
 - Under the Blocked Devices section, click the +Add Blocked Device button. The Parental Control > Managed Devices > Add Blocked Device page will appear.
 - Locate and select the client device to block Internet access under the Auto-Learned Devices section.
NOTE 1: Offline Clients will not appear in the Auto-Learned Device section. NOTE 2: If the client is offline, click the Custom Device radio button, then enter a name in the Device Name field.  Obtain the MAC Address on the network information of the client device and enter it into the MAC Address field.  - Click the No button for the Always Block? option to set up a specific time or day to block access.Â
NOTE: To always block access, leave the default setting to Yes and proceed to step 15.  - Click the Start from drop-down menu to select the start time.
 - Click the End on drop-down menu to select the end time.
 - Click the days for the Set Blocked Days option.
 - Click the Save button.  Settings will take effect immediately. The Parental Control > Managed Devices page will appear. ​
 - The blocked device entry will appear below the Blocked Devices section.  To add additional devices to be blocked, repeat steps 9 - 15.
NOTE: To remove a blocked device entry, click the X button next to the entry. On the pop-up message box, click the OK button.Â
Block All Access Setup When the Block All access type is selected, all client devices are blocked from Internet access. Â Existing client devices in the home network can be added to allow Internet access. Â For each new client device that connects to the home network, the client device will need to be added to allow access. Â

Disable Managed Devices
- On the left-hand menu, click the Parental Control link. Click the Managed Devices sub-menu link. The Parental Control > Managed Devices page will appear.
 - Click the Disable button for the Managed Devices option.  Changes take effect immediately.
NOTE: Depending on the Access Type setup, any client devices that are not removed will be grayed out and retained in the Blocked or Allowed Devices list.Â
