Answer | IPv6 is enabled by default in the G54 which allows the client devices to receive IPv6 addresses from the service provider.  Internet service providers must provide both IPv4 and IPv6 IP addresses.  The client devices as well as the applications and the operating system must have IPv6 capabilities. Â
This document describes how to configure IPv6 using the SURFboard Central app.NOTE: The IPv6 setting is only available in the SURFboard Central app.  For assistance with the SURFboard® Central App setup, refer to article 18840 - SURFboard Central: Wi-Fi Cable Modem Setup.Â

 - Tap the Network Management box.
 - Tap the Network Settings + button to expand the card, then tap the General Settings.
 - To Enable IPv6 swipe the button right, to disable it swipe the button left.
 - On the IPv6 Enable pop-up box tap, tap the OK button. The G54 will reboot and the network will be unavailable until the connection is restored.Â
