Question
How do I enable or disable IPv6 on my G54 gateway?
Answer
IPv6 is enabled by default in the G54 which allows the client devices to receive IPv6 addresses from the service provider.  Internet service providers must provide both IPv4 and IPv6 IP addresses.  The client devices as well as the applications and the operating system must have IPv6 capabilities.

This document describes how to configure IPv6 using the SURFboard Central app.

NOTE: The IPv6 setting is only available in the SURFboard Central app.  For assistance with the SURFboard® Central App setup, refer to article 18840 - SURFboard Central: Wi-Fi Cable Modem Setup.
