Question

How do I register my G54 gateway?

Answer

The G54 Wi-Fi cable modem includes a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. When logging into the G54 Web Manager, the Product Registration prompt will appear. To register the G54 Wi-Fi cable modem, click the Register button. This document describes how to register the G54 using the Product Registration prompt in the Web Manager.

G54 Product Registration

Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.
A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to bypass the alert screen, refer to article 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.

NOTE: The Home Network Wizard will appear if this is the first time accessing the Web Manager. For assistance with the wizard, refer to article 19497 - G54: Web Manager First Time Login.
On the Login page, enter the custom password in the Password field. The Username field is populated with admin.

NOTE: If the Username field is populated with an email address, retrieve the admin password from the SURFboard Central app to log in. For detailed instructions in the app, refer to article 19069 - SURFboard Central: Web Manager Access.
Click the Login button. The Product Registration window will appear.
On the Product Registration prompt, click the Register button. The ARRIS Device Registration page will appear.
Enter an email address into the Email Address field.
Enter the first name in the First Name field and enter a last name in the Last Name field.
Click the Next button.
Select the place of purchase store in the Place of Purchase field.
Select the service provider in the Service Provider field.
Enter the date when the G54 was purchased in the Date of Purchase (MM/DD/YYYY) field.
To receive product and promotional offers, check the box for Check if you would like to receive product and promotional offers from ARRIS.
Click the Submit button.
The product registration page provides a confirmation and a warranty expiration date of the registered product.
