Answer | The McAfee® Secure Home Internet (SHI) app allows management of Internet access on a per-user basis.  Internet access can be restricted to specific times, and websites are restricted based on content categories. The devices are then associated with the user profile. This document provides instructions for setting up the Parental Controls using the McAfee® SHI app.

- Tap the McAfee® SHI icon to launch the app.  The Home screen will appear.
 - On the Home screen, tap on the menu icon, or swipe left.  The Welcome screen will appear.
 - On the Welcome screen, tap on Parental Controls.  The Kid profiles screen will appear.
 - Tap on the "+" symbol next to Add more profiles.
 - Enter a unique name in the Kid's name field, then tap Next.
 - Enter the age of the user in the Age field, then tap Go.  The user will now appear in the Kid profiles screen.
NOTE 1: The age set determines the default web categories allowed or blocked. NOTE 2: If the profile is setup for age 12 or younger, the COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) Privacy Notice will need to be reviewed and the terms accepted. The Accept button is available after the content is reviewed. Â
Assign Device to User ProfileIt is required to assign a device with the user profile for Parental Controls to be enforced. Parental controls will only apply on devices assigned to the user profile.
- On the Kid profiles screen, tap on the desired user. Â The user's information screen will appear.
 - Tap on the "+" symbol to the right of the Devices line.  The list of available devices will appear.
 - Tap on the device to associate with the profile.  A check mark will appear to the right of the device.  Multiple devices can be selected.
 - Tap on the "check" symbol in the upper right corner to save changes.  The devices will now appear on the user's profile screen.
NOTE: If the profile is setup for age 12 or younger, the COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) Privacy Notice will need to be reviewed and the terms accepted. The Accept button is available after the content is reviewed. Â
Web Time SetupBy default, Parental Controls allows Internet access at all times. Web Time is setup to allow access only during specified times and days on each profile.
- On the Kid profiles screen, tap on a profile. Â The profile information screen will appear.
 - Tap on the "+" symbol to the right of Web time.Â
 - To set the start time, tap on Start. Use the dial to set the time, then tap on OK.
 - To set the end time, tap on End. Use the dial to set the time, then tap on OK.
 - To set the days, tap on Repeat.  By default all days are allowed. To exclude a day from the allowed time, tap on the day to clear the check.  Tap on the check in the upper right corner when done.
 - Tap on Save to apply the changes.  The profile screen will appear, with the allowed time displayed.
NOTE: Repeat steps 2-6 to set additional allowed times. Â
Allow/block Website SetupDefault web categories are set to block or allow based on the age entered in the profile setup. Additional categories can be blocked or allowed for each profile.
- On the Kid profiles screen, tap on the desired profile. Â The user's information screen will appear.
 - Tap on Web Categories. The list of categories appears.  Swipe up or down to view the entire list.
 - Tap on the selection switch to allow or deny access to the specific category. Â
 - Tap on the "check" symbol in the upper right corner to save changes.
