Answer | The Device Status on the S33/S34 Login page provides a quick overview on the cable modem information and connection status.  The Device Status page provides firmware version and Internet connection status.  This document describes how to view the S33/S34 Device Status page.
How to View Device Status
NOTE: If the S33/S34 is connected to a router, it is recommended to disconnect the router and connect the S33/S34 directly to a computer with an Ethernet cable.
- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.100.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page will appear.
NOTE: A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to bypass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.  - Click the Device Status button.  The Device Status page will appear.
 - The Device Status provides the following information:
- Firmware Version - The current software version in the cable modem.
- Internet Connection - The current access to the Internet.  The field displays Connected when there is Internet and Not Connected when there is no Internet.
- Downstream Frequency - The center frequency for the downstream channel to be used by the modem.Â
- Downstream Signal Power - The signal received from the service provider to the cable modem.
- Downstream Signal SNR - The strength of the signal to the cable modem as compared to the noise on the line (signal/noise).Â
- Click the Close button to exit.
