Question
Where can I find the serial number on my SB6183 modem? 
Answer

The serial number can be located on the bottom panel of the unit and in the GUI (Graphical User Interface) of the SB6183.  This document includes the following sections:

The serial number is located on the bottom white sticker of the device as S/N.

NOTE: If the SB6183 is connected to a router, it is recommended to disconnect the router and connect the SB6183 directly to a computer with an Ethernet cable.
  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Enter http://192.168.100.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Status page will appear.

    Right click on the image to save it to your computer.
     
  2. Click the Addresses link on the left-hand menu.  The Addresses page appears.  The serial number will be displayed (as shown below).
