Answer | The SBG6580 broadcasts one default wireless network that is switchable between the 2.4 and 5 GHz radio bands using the same Wi-Fi password. By default the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band is enabled. The 2.4 GHz band provides greater distance for the connection while the 5 GHz band provides higher speed in shorter distances for the connection.  When switching to the 5 GHz radio band, older 2.4 GHz clients may not be able to connect to the 5 GHz network. This document describes how to setup the 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.Â
5 GHz Wi-Fi Network Setup
