The SBG6700-AC supports the usage of a Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS). Â DDNS service provides the ability to assign a static Internet domain name to a dynamic IP address, which allows the SBG6700-AC to be easily accessed from various locations over the Internet. Â Dynamic DNS is disabled by default. Â This document describes how to enable and configure Dynamic DNS.
NOTE: Dynamic DNS service is required, which can be obtained at the DynDNS website.

To Configure for DDNS

Launch a Firefox or Safari browser. Â EnterÂ

NOTE: A browser message on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Opera, may appear when accessing the Web Manager. Â The message includes 1
92.168.01 uses an unsupported protocol and ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH. Â The Web Manager uses an earlier version of the TLS protocol and does not match the version allowed by the web browser. Â Safari browsers on Apple PC and mobile devices are not impacted. Â The workaround to access the Web Manager with a PC is to use the Firefox browser and set the TLS version to 1. - A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. Â There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. Â For instructions to bypass the alert screen, refer to article #Â 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
 - On the Login page, enter admin or a customized username in the Username field.
 - Enter password or a customized password in the Password field.
NOTE: On later versions of the SBG6700-AC, the Wi-Fi Security Key is used as the default admin password printed on the bottom white label. For assistance with Web Manager Access, refer to article # 18754 – SBG6700-AC: Web Manager Access.

Click the Login button. The Home page will appear.

- Move the mouse cursor over the Basic tab and select the DDNS sub-link. Â The Basic - DDNS page will appear.

On the Basic - DDNS page:
a. Â DDNS Service - Select www.DynDNS.org from the drop-down tab.
Â
   NOTE: By default DDNS feature is Disabled.
Â
b. Â User Name - Enter the DynDNS user name.
c.  Password - Enter the  DynDNS Password.
d. Â Host Name - Enter the DynDNS Host Name.
e. Â IP Address - Lists the IP address information.
f. Â Â Status - Displays the status of the DDNS service: enabled or not enabled.
g. Â Click the Apply button.
