The SBG6700-AC includes an advanced IP Filtering option to define which local devices will be denied access to the Wide Area Network (WAN). Â IP address filters will need to be configured to block Internet traffic to specific network devices on the Local Area Network (LAN) by entering the starting and ending IP address range. Â IP Filtering is not enabled by default. Â This document describes how to enable and configure IP Filtering.

To Configure IP Filtering

Launch a Firefox or Safari browser. Â EnterÂ

92.168.01 uses an unsupported protocol and ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH. Â The Web Manager uses an earlier version of the TLS protocol and does not match the version allowed by the web browser. Â Safari browsers on Apple PC and mobile devices are not impacted. Â The workaround to access the Web Manager with a PC is to use the Firefox browser and set the TLS version to 1. - A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. Â There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. Â For instructions to bypass the alert screen, refer to article #Â 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
 - On the Login page, enter admin or a customized username in the Username field.
 - Enter password or a customized password in the Password field.
NOTE: On later versions of the SBG6700-AC, the Wi-Fi Security Key is used as the default admin password printed on the bottom white label. For assistance with Web Manager Access, refer to article # 18754 – SBG6700-AC: Web Manager Access.

Click the Login button. The Home page will appear.

- Move the mouse cursor over the Advanced tab and select the IP Filtering sub-link. Â The Advanced - IP Filtering page will appear.

On the Advanced - IP Filtering page:
a. Â Enter the Start Address of the range, which would be denied access to the SBG6700-AC WAN.
b. Â Enter the End Address of the range, which would be denied access to the SBG6700-AC WAN.
Â
NOTE: Only the LSB (least-significant byte) of the IP address will need to be entered. Â The upper bytes of the IP address are set automatically from the SBG6700-AC Configuration Manager's IP address.

c. Â Checkmark the Enabled option to activate the filter.
Â
NOTE: The maximum number of IP Filter ranges that can be configured is 10.
Â
d. Â Click the Apply button.
