The SBG6700-AC includes a MAC Filtering option to define up to twenty Media Access Control (MAC) address filters to prevent devices from sending outgoing TCP/UDP traffic to the WAN via their MAC addresses. Â This option is useful because the MAC address of a specific Network Interface Card (NIC) never changes. Â Unlike IP addresses, they can be assigned by the DHCP server or hard-coded to various addresses. Â MAC Address Filtering is disabled by default. Â This document describes how to enable MAC Filtering.
