Question
Where can I find the status or get general information about my SBG7580-AC Gateway?
Answer
NOTE: The Device Status feature is available on firmware version 9.1.103AA18 and later.

The Device Status on the SBG7580-AC Login page is a quick overview on gateway information and connection status to the home network.  The Device Status page provides the Wi-Fi network names, number of connected Wi-Fi clients, firmware version, and Internet connection status.  This document describes how to view the SBG7580-AC Device Status page.


How to View Device Status
  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page will appear.

    NOTE: A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to by-pass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
     
  2. Click the Device Status button.  The SBG7580-AC Device Status page will appear.

  3. The SBG7580-AC Device Status provides the following information:
    • SSID 2.4 GHz - The wireless network name on the 2.4 GHz network.
    • Number of Connected Clients - The total number of connected clients on the 2.4 GHz network.
    • SSID 5.0 GHz - The wireless network name on the 5 GHz network.
    • Number of Connected Clients - The total number of connected clients on the 5 GHz network.
    • Firmware Version - The current software version in the Gateway.
    • Internet Connection - The current access to the Internet.  This field will display Connected when there is Internet and Not Connected when there is no Internet.
    • Downstream Frequency - The center frequency for the downstream channel to be used by the modem. 
    • Downstream Signal Power - The signal received from the service provider to the cable modem.
    • Downstream Signal SNR - The strength of the signal to the cable modem as compared to the noise on the line (signal/noise). 
    • Gateway Mode - This field will display Bridged when the device is functioning as a modem or Gateway when the device is functioning as a Gateway.
  4. Click the Close button to exit.
