The SBG7600AC2 operates as Wi-Fi cable modem and provides Internet access to devices (up to 253 devices) in the home network.  Setting the SBG7600AC2 in Bridge mode disables the router and wireless functions and will operate as a cable modem. A device directly connected to the SBG7600AC2 with an Ethernet cable will receive the Public IP address from the Cable Provider for Internet access. Installation of a Wi-Fi router will be required to provide Internet access to multiple devices in the home network. This document contains the following sections:

- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page will appear.
NOTE: A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to by-pass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
 - On the Login page, enter admin in the User Name field.
 - Enter password or a customized password in the Password field.
NOTE: When using the default password to login, it may be required to set a unique password to proceed to the Web Manager. For assistance with Web Manager Access, refer to article # 18386 – SBG7600AC2: Web Manager Access.
 - Click the Apply button.  The System Basic Setup page will appear.

On the System Basic Setup page, click the LAN Setup link on the top menu.  The LAN Settings page will appear.

On the LAN Settings page, click the NAT Mode drop-down menu and select Bridged. Â

Click the Apply button.  The system pop-up window will appear.

Click the OK button on the system pop-up window.

The SBG7600AC2 has now been configured for bridge mode.  A device directly connected to the SBG7600AC2 with an Ethernet cable will receive the Public IP address from the Cable Provider for Internet access.
Disabling Bridge Mode

Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari from an Wi-Fi client connected to the router.  Enter http://192.168.100.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key. The Status page will appear.
NOTE 1: A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to by-pass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
NOTE 2: If the Web Manager does not load, connect a client device directly to the SBG7600AC2 with an Ethernet cable.Â
NOTE 3: If the Web Manager fails to load with an direct Ethernet connection, perform a factory reset on the SBG7600AC2 for it to operate as a Wi-Fi cable modem. Please refer to Answer # 18387 - SBG7600AC2: Factory Reset.   Â

On the Status page, click the Configuration link on the top menu. The Login page will appear.
- On the Login page, enter admin in the User Name field.
