Â
Install the SBG8300
- Connect the coaxial cable to a cable wall outlet (if not connected) and the Cable connector on the rear of the SBG8300.  Hand-tighten the connectors to avoid damaging them.
 - Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the computer and to the Ethernet port on the rear of the SBG8300. Â
NOTE: Client device with Ethernet connection is not required to complete installation.Â
 - Connect the included Wall Power Supply to the Power port on the rear of the SBG8300 and then plug it into an electrical wall outlet that is not controlled by a wall switch.
CAUTION: Overall functionality and performance cannot be guaranteed if the incorrect power supply is used when installing the SBG8300.  When using the incorrect power supply, the SBG8300 may get online and function, but firmware upgrades will not complete successfully. Â
NOTE:Â This automatically powers ON the SBG8300. Â There may be up to a 15 sec delay for the Power LED on the SBG8300Â front panel to light up after the power is connected.
 - Check for solid 2 LEDs on the front panel of the SBG8300 gateway.  The Online and Wi-Fi LEDs flash during the initial startup.Â
