The SBG8300 Wi-Fi cable modem does not support Link Aggregation.
What is Link Aggregation (LAC)? Ethernet Link Aggregation (LAC) combines multiple wired connections (i.e. using two LAN Gigabit Ethernet ports) in parallel to increase throughput beyond what a single connection could sustain. An important reason for using link aggregation is to provide redundancy in case one of the individual Ethernet ports fails. This allows client devices (e.g. NAS, Managed network switch, or router) with Ethernet Link Aggregation support to achieve bandwidth up to 2Gbps for wired connections.  |
