The SBR-AC1750 wireless router can be configured for several different types of Internet connections (PPPoE, Static, and DHCP). Â
By default, the SBR-AC1750 is ready for a DHCP Internet connection. Â Depending on the area, PPPoE may be the only Internet connection offered. Â If this is the case the SBR-AC1750 can be configured for a PPPoE connection. Â To determine the availability of PPPoE
, check with the DSL provider to determine what type of connection is present. Â This document describes how to configure for PPPoE Internet connection.
Requirements
- DSL modem
- A Ethernet cable must be connected from the DSL modem to the SBR-AC1750 WAN port
- DSL username and password
To Configure PPPoE Internet Connection
- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.
NOTE: By default the LAN IP address is 192.168.0.1. Â If the default address has been changed, enter the custom address in the address box.
 - On the Login page:
a. Â Enter password in the Password field.
b. Â Click the Login button. Â The Home page appears.
 - Move the mouse-cursor over the WAN tab and select the PPPoE sub-link.  The WAN - PPPoE page appears.
- On the WAN - PPPoE page:
a. Â Enable PPPoE - Check mark the box.
b. Â User Name - Enter the DSL PPPoE user name.
c. Â Password - Enter the DSL PPPoE password.
d. Â Click the Apply button.
To Verify Connection
- Verify that the WAN LED on the front panel is solid green.
