Question
How do I setup Internet with Static IP address in my SBR-AC1750?
Answer
The SBR-AC1750 wireless router, by default is configured for a DHCP Internet connection and can also be configured for several different types of accounts (PPPoE and Static) with the service provider.  This document describes how to configure the SBR-AC1750 for an Internet connection with a Static account from the service provider.

Requirements
  • IP Address
  • Subnet Mask
  • Default Gateway
  • DNS addresses (Primary and Secondary)


To Configure Static Internet

  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.

    NOTE: By default the LAN IP address is 192.168.0.1.  If the default address has been changed, enter the custom address in the address box.

    Right click on the image to save it to your computer.
     
  2. On the Login page:
    a.   Enter password in the Password field.
    b.   Click the Login button.  The Home page appears.

  3. Move the mouse-cursor over the WAN tab and select the Static sub-link.  The WAN - Static IP Connection Type page appears.
  4. On the WAN - Static IP Connection Type page:
    a.   Enable Static IP - Check mark the box.
    b.   IP address - Enter the static IP address.
    c.   Subnet Mask - Enter the subnet mask.
    d.   Gateway Address - Enter the gateway address.  
    e.   Click the Apply button.  The Message from webpage appears.

  5. On the Message on webpage box, click the OK button.  The WAN - DNS Settings page appears.

  6. On the WAN - DNS Settings page:
    a.   Primary DNS Server IP - Enter the Primary DNS addresses.
    b.   Secondary DNS Server IP - Enter the Secondary DNS addresses
    c.   Click the Apply button.

To Verify Connection

  1. Verify that the WAN LED on the front panel is solid green.
