The SBR-AC1750 also allows for a wireless guest network (in addition to a wireless primary network). Â The guest network provides access to the Internet, but prevents devices from communicating with primary wireless and wired connected client devices. Â
The SBR-AC1750 supports 2.4GHz and 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi frequencies simultaneously. Â Each frequency has it's own SSID (Service Set Identification), which is the name given to the wireless network of the SBR-AC1750. Â The 2.4 GHz frequency supports 802.11 b/g/n wireless clients, while the 5.0 GHz frequency supports 802.11n wireless clients only. Â 802.11n devices will generally perform better in the 5GHz range.
The guest network is disabled by default. Â This document describes how to enable the guest network without wireless security.Â
CAUTION: With this setup, the wireless functionality of the SBR-AC1750 will provide no encryption for the wireless guest network.
