How do I reserve an IP address to a client in my SBR-AC1900P?
Answer
In certain cases, it is best for a client to receive a particular IP address from the SBR-AC1900P and always keep that address without having to manually configure it in the client. This can be accomplished by reserving an IP Address to a client's MAC address.  When the client disconnect and reconnect to the SBR-AC1900P, it will receive the IP address that it has been reserved for it.
It is recommended to setup an IP Address Reserve for clients that are configured to use Port Forwarding or DMZ. Â This document describes how to reserve an IP address to a client connected to the SBR-AC1900P. Â
Â
Reserve an IP Address
Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key. The Login page will appear. Â

Enter password in the Password field. Â
Click the Login button. Â The Home page will appear.
Â

Â
Click the radio button to select the client under Attached Client List on the Basic - DHCP page. Â If the client is not listed, make sure it's powered on and connected. Â Then click the Refresh button to add the client to the Attached Client List. Â
Click the Reserve button to automatically reserve the current IP address to the client's MAC address.
Â
The IP Address will be reserved to the client's MAC address after the progress reaches 100%. Â
Â
Verify that the client is added to the Reserved IP Client List to confirm that the setup is complete.
