By default, access to the SBR-AC1900PÂ configuration menu is only accessible from the local network. Â However, the SBR-AC1900PÂ can also be configured to be accessible from anywhere on the Internet. Â This document contains the following sections:

NOTE: The ports used for local and remote access cannot be changed.
Â
To Verify IP Address for Remote AccessÂ
NOTE: Like all devices on the Internet, the router has an IP Address on the Internet. Â The WAN IP Address is assigned dynamically, verify with the Service Provider for the correct IP Address.Â
- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.

NOTE: By default the LAN IP address is 192.168.0.1. Â If the default address has been changed, enter the custom address in the address box.

On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
- Enter password in the Password field.

Click the Login button.  The Home page appears.

- Move the mouse-cursor over the Basic tab and select the Setup link from the drop-down submenu.  The Basic - Setup  page appears.
- On the Basic - Setup page, locate the WAN IP Address as shown below.

NOTE: The WAN IP Address will be used to establish a remote access.

Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Â Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key. Â The Login page appears.

Click the Login button. Â The Home page appears.

- Move the mouse-cursor over the Advanced tab and select the Options from the drop-down submenu. The Advanced - Options page appears.

On the Advanced - Options page, check the Remote Config Management option.Â
- Click the OK button, on the Warning pop-up window.

Click the Apply button.

NOTE 1: A restart is not necessary, as the settings will immediately take effect.

NOTE 2:Â A red warning will inform the user that Remote Management is turned on.

To Establish Remote AccessÂ
- Locate the WAN IP Address.Â

NOTE: Reference the WAN IP Address from the To Verify IP Address For Remote Access section.

- From a remote location, launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://Wan IP Address into the address box, press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.

On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
- Enter password in the Password field.
- Click the Login button.  The Home page appears.
