Question
How do I setup remote access in my SBR-AC3200P?
Answer
By default, access to the SBR-AC3200P configuration menu is only accessible from the local network.  However, the SBR-AC3200P can also be configured to be accessible from anywhere on the Internet.  This document contains the following sections:
NOTE: The ports used for local and remote access cannot be changed.
 
NOTE: Like all devices on the Internet, the router has an IP Address on the Internet.  The WAN IP Address is assigned dynamically, verify with the Service Provider for the correct IP Address. 
  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.
     
    NOTE: By default the LAN IP address is 192.168.0.1.  If the default address has been changed, enter the custom address in the address box.

  2. On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
  3. Enter password in the Password field.
  4. Click the Login button.  The Home page appears.

  5. Move the mouse-cursor over the Basic tab and select the Setup link from the drop-down submenu.  The Basic - Setup  page appears.
  6. On the Basic - Setup page, locate the WAN IP Address as shown below.
     
    NOTE: The WAN IP Address will be used to establish a remote access.

  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.
     
    NOTE: By default the LAN IP address is 192.168.0.1.  If the default address has been changed, enter the custom address in the address box.

  2. On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
  3. Enter password in the Password field.
  4. Click the Login button.  The Home page appears.

  5. Move the mouse-cursor over the Advanced tab and select the Options from the drop-down submenu. The Advanced - Options page appears.
  6. On the Advanced - Options page, check the Remote Config Management option. 
  7. Click the OK button, on the Warning pop-up window.
  8. Click the Apply button.
     
    NOTE 1: A restart is not necessary, as the settings will immediately take effect.
     
    NOTE 2: A red warning will inform the user that Remote Management is turned on.

  1. Locate the WAN IP Address. 
     
    NOTE: Reference the WAN IP Address from the To Verify IP Address For Remote Access section.
     
  2. From a remote location, launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://Wan IP Address into the address box, press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.
  3. On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
  4. Enter password in the Password field.
  5. Click the Login button.  The Home page appears.

  7. Click the Apply button.
