In some cases the SBV2402 modem may need to be power cycled to regain functionality.  This can be accomplished by holding down the Reset button for 10 seconds.  Pressing the Reset button does not reset the unit to it's factory default setting, but restarts the modem as if the unit was power cycled. This document describes how to power cycle the modem by holding down the Reset button.
NOTE 1: On firmware version 9.1.103AA65L and later, holding the Reset button down for 20 seconds will restart the modem and revert the custom admin password back to the default password (password).  For assistance with Web Manager login, refer to article # 17956 – SBV2402 Web Manager Access.Â

- Carefully insert a pointed, non-metallic object into the reset button and press on for 10 seconds.
