In some cases, the SBX-1000P may need to be reset to its factory default state and clear all of the previous settings. Â The Factory reset can be performed by pressing the reset button or in the Web Manager. Â This document describes how to reset to factory defaults by pressing the reset button or in the Web Manager.
CAUTION: Performing a Factory Reset will erase any configuration and pairing changes. Â
Factory Reset With The Reset Button
- Carefully insert the tip of a pen or an unwound paperclip into the reset button on the bottom of the device.
- Press and hold down the Reset button for 10Â seconds and then release it.
NOTE: To assure that the extender factory defaults, hold the reset button for a minimum of 10 seconds.  The side LED will flash amber and then red to indicate a reset has been performed.Â
Factory Reset in the Web Manager
- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.100.254 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.
NOTE 1: By default the LAN IP address is 192.168.100.254. Â If the default address has been changed, enter the custom address in the address box.

 - On the Login page, enter password in the Password field.Â
- Click the Apply button.  The Status - Device page appears. Â
 - Move the mouse-cursor over Advance on the top menu, and click the Configuration link from drop-down submenu.Â
- On the Advance - Configuration page, Restore Factory Defaults - Type the password, to factory default the extender.
NOTE:Â If the default password has been changed, enter the custom password in the Factory Reset to Default section.
 - Click the Apply button.  The Message from webpage box appears.
- After waiting a few moments, it should refresh back to the Login page.
