Answer | NOTE: The SBX-AC1200P operates as a wireless extender out of the box. The DDNS is setup in the primary router that manages the home network. If the SBX-AC1200P is operating as a wireless router, proceed with the instructions below to setup DDNS.
The SBX-AC1200P supports the usage of Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS). Â DDNS service provides users the ability to access the SBX-AC1200P or to devices, such as a web server or video cameras, in a home network using a friendly name from various locations over the Internet. Â Dynamic DNS is disabled by default. Â This document describes how to setup Dynamic DNS.
Requirements
- DDNS service from www.dyndns.org or www.noip.com.
- DDNS Account username, password and DDNS host name.
DDNS Setup
- Connect a Wi-Fi client device, such as a laptop, smart phone or tablet, to the SBX-AC1200P default wireless network.
NOTE: The default wireless name and password is located on the back panel of the SBX-AC1200P. Â - Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Â Enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key. Â The Login page will appears.
 - On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
 - Enter password in the Password field.
 - Click the Login button.  The Home page will appear.​
 - Move the mouse-cursor over Basic on the main menu and click the DDNS link on the sub-menu.  The Basic - DDNS page appears.
 - Click the DDNS Service drop-down menu and select www.DynDNS.org or www.noip.com.
NOTE: In the example www.DynDNS.org service is selected. Â - Enter the DDNS username in Username field.
 - Enter the DDNS password in the Password field.
 - Enter the DDNS Host Name in the Host Name field.
 - Click the Apply button.
