How do I enable Amazon Frustration-Free Setup on the SURFboard Central app?

Answer

NOTE: This article applies to the SURFboard mAX Mesh products and the SURFboard G54.

Enabling the Amazon Frustration-Free Setup feature on the SURFboard device is required for the Amazon Wi-Fi Simple setup. The Amazon Wi-Fi Simple setup allows newly purchased compatible smart devices to connect to the home network and Amazon account in fewer steps. Amazon customers pre-register the new smart devices during purchase which allows the smart devices to connect to the Wi-Fi Simple Setup enabled home network device. By default, the Amazon Wi-Fi simple setup is disabled on the G54. This document will describe how to enable Amazon Wi-Fi simple setup using the Web Manager.

Requirements

Amazon account
Frustration-Free Setup enabled through an Amazon account
Internet connection

Enabling Amazon Frustration-Free Setup

Tap the Menu bar link on the top-left screen.
Tap the Amazon Features box.
Swipe the Enable/Disable Amazon Frustration Free Setup Feature slider to the right to enable the Amazon Frustration Free Setup Feature.
On the Amazon Wi-Fi simple setup pop-up box, tap the OK button.
On the Amazon Feature Updated Success pop-up box, tap the OK button.
