Question
How do I change the Network Health recommendation sensitivity?
Answer
NOTE: This article applies to the SURFboard Wi-Fi Cable Modems (G18, G20, G34, G36, SBG10, SBG6950AC2, SBG7400AC2, SBG7580-AC, SBG7600AC2, SBG8300).

The Network Health recommended sensitivity is set to Medium by default and can be changed to Low or High.  Recommended troubleshooting steps are provided to improve the Wi-Fi client's connection.


Change Recommendation Sensitivity
  1. Tap the Network Health box on the Home screen.

  2. Tap the Gear icon.

  3. Tap the slider under Low or High to change it.
     
  4. Under the section, You will be notified as soon as your: tap the Connected Device(s) signal strength is very low link to view the additional information.

    The Connected Devices screen displays the sensitivity as Low, Medium, or High when the Recommendation sensitivity is changed.  A suggested recommendation occurs when the connected Wi-Fi client device's signal is less than -80 dbm (Low sensitivity), -75 dbm (Medium sensitivity), and or -70 dbm (High sensitivity).
