Answer | NOTE: This article applies to the SURFboard Wi-Fi Cable Modems (G18, G20, G34, G36, G54, SBG10, SBG6950AC2, SBG7400AC2, SBG7580-AC, SBG7600AC2, SBG8300).
The SURFboard Gateway default Wi-Fi credentials, wireless name and password, are listed on the bottom label of the device.  The Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is unique and identifies the wireless network.  The Wi-Fi password (also known as the wireless security key, encryption key or passphrase) is the same on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network. Wi-Fi clients (such as smart phones and laptops) will connect to the respective SSID of each Wi-Fi network using the wireless password. The custom Wi-Fi name and password can be retrieved in the SURFboard Central app.
