Question
How do I customize the Guest Wi-Fi settings using the ARRIS SURFboard Manager app?
Answer
SURFboard Wi-Fi products allow for a guest Wi-Fi network (in addition to the primary Wi-Fi network).  By default the Guest Wi-Fi Network is disabled for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band.  Each of the two guest Wi-Fi networks will broadcast independently over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands.  The Guest Wi-Fi network provides access to the Internet, but prevents devices from communicating with the primary Wi-Fi and wired connected client devices.  Both the Wi-Fi passcode key and SSID can be customized through the ARRIS SURFboard Manager App when the Guest W-Fi network is enabled in the SURFboard Wi-Fi product.  Changes made in the SURFboard Manager App will automatically be pushed to the SURFboard device.  The Wi-Fi credentials can also be shared via SMS or Email.  This document describes how to customize the Guest Wi-Fi Settings and share the Wi-Fi credentials.

Customize the Guest Wi-Fi Settings
  1. Tap the SURFboard icon.  The Login screen will appear.

  2. On the Login screen, enter admin in the Username field and password in the Password field.

NOTE: If the default login credentials were previously changed please enter custom credentials.  If the customized login credentials are forgotten a factory reset must be performed by pressing the reset button for more than 10 seconds on the SURFboard Wi-Fi product.  This will reset all customized settings back to the default settings.
