Question
How do I customize Wi-Fi settings using the ARRIS SURFboard Manager app?
Answer
The SURFboard gateway and router products have configuration options for the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN).  By default the wireless Primary Network is enabled for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band.  These bands use WPA2-PSK encryption for the Wi-Fi passcode key along with an SSID (Service Set Identification) name to identify the network.  Both the Wi-Fi passcode key and SSID can be customized through the ARRIS SURFboard Manager App.  Changes made in the SURFboard Manager App will automatically be pushed to the SURFboard device.  This document describes how to customize the Wi-Fi settings using the SURFboard Manager App.

Customize the Wi-Fi Settings
  1. Tap the ARRIS SURFboard Manager Icon.  The Login screen will appear.

  2. In the User Name field, enter admin for the user name.

  3. In the Password field, enter password for the password.

NOTE: If the default login credentials were previously changed please enter custom credentials.  If you forgot your customized login credentials you must perform a factory reset back to the original default settings by pressing the reset button for more than 10 seconds on the SURFboard product.  This will reset all customized settings back to the original factory default settings.
