Answer | The ARRIS SURFboard Manager app allows a Spot Check of the Wi-Fi signal strength. This will help indicate the strength of the Wi-Fi signal in a particular location. This document provides steps for checking the Wi-Fi signal strength using the ARRIS SURFboard Manager app.
Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength
- Tap the ARRIS SURFboard Manager Icon. Â The Login screen appears.Â
 - In the User Name field, enter admin for the user name.Â
 - In the Password field, enter password for the password.
NOTE: If the default login credentials were previously changed, enter the custom credentials. Â If the customized login credentials have been forgotten, a factory reset must be performed by pressing the reset button for more than 10 seconds on the SURFboard product. Â This will reset all customized settings back to the original factory default settings.Â
 - Tap the Login button.  The SURFboard Home screen will appear.
 - On the SURFboard Home screen, tap the Wi-Fi icon in the Status section. The Wi-Fi Spot Meter screen will appear.
 - The Wi-Fi Spot Meter uses color codes and bar height to indicate the signal strength.
- Green signal is Good
- Orange signal is Poor
- Red signal is Very Poor
