Answer | In some cases the SVG2482AC may need to be restored to its factory default state, clearing all previous settings. The gateway can be restored back to the factory default by pressing the reset button, or by logging into the Web Manager. This document contains the following sections:
CAUTION: This process will clear all configurations and should be used as a last resort. Performing a Factory Rest will erase any configuration changes that have been made and requires the gateway to be reconfigured for Internet access. Â
Factory Restore With The Reset Button
- Carefully insert the tip of a pen or an unwound paperclip into the reset button and press on to it.
 - Hold down the Reset button for at least 15 seconds and release it. The SVG2482AC will then reboot, once the Wi-Fi LEDs flash the SVG2482AC has finished rebooting and be will be configured with the default settings.
NOTE: Performing a Factory Rest will erase any configuration changes that have been made and requires the gateway to be reconfigured for Internet access.Â
Factory Reset in the Web Manager
- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://10.0.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page will appear.
 - On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
 - Enter password in the Password field then click the Login button.  The Gateway > At a Glance page will appear.Â
NOTE: A prompt to change the password appears when the SVG2482AC is using the default password. To change the password click the OK button or click the Cancel button to bypass it.  - On the left-hand menu, click Troubleshooting then click Restore/Reset Gateway.
 - On the Troubleshooting > Reset/Restore Gateway page click the Restore Factory Settings button.
 - When the message Are you sure you want to Restore Factory settings? appears, click the OK button.  The SVG2482AC will then reboot, and will be configured with the default settings once the SVG2482AC is finished rebooting.
