Question
How do I access the Troubleshooting Logs in the SVG2482AC Gateway?
Answer
The Troubleshooting logs can be used to view information about the performance and system operation of the SVG2482AC.  These logs are separated into three categories: System Logs, Event Logs, and Firewall Logs.  This document describes how to view the Troubleshooting Logs.


To View Troubleshooting Logs
  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://10.0.0.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page will appear.
     
  2. On the Login page, enter admin in the Username field.
     
  3. Enter password in the Password field then click the Login button.  The Gateway > At a Glance page will appear.

    NOTE: A prompt to change the password appears when the SVG2482AC is using the default password.  To change the password click the OK button or click the Cancel button to bypass it.

  4. On the left-hand menu, click the Troubleshooting link.  The Troubleshooting > Logs page will appear.
     
  5. Click the Log Type drop-down menu, and select the desired logs to view (System Logs, Event Logs, or Firewall Logs).
     
  6. Click the Time Frame drop-down menu and select the desired time to view  (Today, Yesterday, Last week, Last month, or Last 90 days).
     
  7. Click the Show Logs button.  A pop-up window will appear.

  8. On the pop-up window, click the OK button to continue.

  9. The logs will be displayed as shown below.

    NOTE: If desired, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click the Print button to print the logs or the Download button to save a text file of the logs to the computer.
