When using a wireless connection, interference may occur.  One variable may include other Wireless Access Points within the surrounding area. If those Wireless Access Points are using the same wireless channel, this may cause interference. When experiencing wireless interference when other wireless access points are present in the surrounding area, changing the wireless channel within the TG862 gateway can improve connectivity. By default, the TG862 wireless channel is set to Automatic. This document describes how to change the wireless channel in the TG862 gateway.
CAUTION: Â When changing the wireless channel, all wireless devices on the network will lose connection for a few moments.
To Change the Wireless Channel

NOTE 1: A reboot of the unit is not required for changes to take effect.
NOTE 2:  The wireless connection will drop, but will automatically re-establish in a few moments.
