In certain scenarios, it may be desired to have a client receive a particular IP address from the TG862, and always keep that address without having to manually configure a static IP address in the client. This can be accomplished with theÂ
Fixed DHCP Clients feature in the TG862. The TG862 can be configured to reserve a specific IP address within the DHCP range of addresses for a specific client. When the client connects to the TG862, it will receive the IP address automatically that it has been reserved for.
NOTE:Â This option serves as a great solution for devices that are configured to use theÂ
Port Forwarding orÂ
DMZ options in the TG862.
Requirements-
