When provisioning the modem, the Cable service provider may request the MAC address of the modem.  The label on the bottom of the TM822G/CT & TM822R contains the Media Access Control (MAC) address, a unique, 48-bit value permanently saved in ROM at the factory to identify each Ethernet network device.  To receive data service, the HFC MAC address is also known as the CMAC Address will need to be provided to the Internet Service Provider.  This document includes the following sections:

The MAC Address is also known as the CMAC Address can be located on a white sticker on the bottom of the device.Â

NOTE: If the TM822 is connected to a router, it is recommended to disconnect the router and connect the T822 directly to a computer with an Ethernet cable.
- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Enter http://192.168.100.1 into the address box. The Status page appears.  The MAC Address will be displayed (as shown below).
