Answer | To access the Web Manager, launch a web browser, and enter https://w6b.local from a laptop or mobile device connected to the home network. If the URL is not loading, try accessing the IP address of the extender assigned by the home Wi-Fi router's client list or ping the URL to identify the IP address. This document contains the following sections for steps on each option:
Check Wi-Fi Router's Client List for IP Address
- Access the web manager of the home Wi-Fi router to locate the Client List.
 - In this example, the W6B extender's name is W6Bxxxxxx and the IP address assigned by the Wi-Fi router is 192.168.0.165.Â
 - Launch a web browser and enter the IP address of the W6B into the address box, press the Enter Key.
 - A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to by-pass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
NOTE: The Setup Administration page will appear if this is the first time accessing the Web Manager. For assistance, refer to article # 19244 - W6B: Web Manager First Time Login.  - Enter the custom username in the Username field and the custom password into the Password field.
 - Click the Login button.  The Network Status page will appear.
Ping wb6.local to Identify IP Address
- Open the Command Prompt on Windows or Terminal on Mac. Type in ping w6b.local and press the Enter key.
 - In this example, the IP address responded by ping is 192.168.0.165.
 - Launch a web browser and enter the IP address of the W6B into the address box, press the Enter Key.
