Answer | When logging into the W6B Web Manager for the first time, it is required to create an admin username and password in order to access the Web Manager. Save the created login credentials. If the login credentials are lost, a factory reset must be performed. Â
The Web Manager's features include connected Wi-Fi clients list, customizing or setting up Wi-Fi networks, changing admin account username and password, factory reset or restarting the device, firmware updates, changing LED light, changing time zone, and WPS Push-button setup. Â
First Time Access to the Web Manager
The following steps must be performed on a laptop or mobile device that is connected to the home network.
- Launch a web browser and enter https://w6b.local/ into the address box, and press the Enter key. The Setup Administration page will appear.
NOTE: A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to by-pass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
 - Enter a username in the Username field. Username must be 5 character minimum and 32 character maximum.
 - Enter a new password in the Password field and re-enter the new password in the Confirm password field.
Password Requirements
- Minimum of 8 characters and 20 characters maximum
- One of ~ ! @ # $ % ^ * ( ) - _ = + [ ] { } \ | : ; , . ?
- At least 1Â numeric character
- Click the Submit button to access the W6U Web Manager.
NOTE: If the login credentials are lost, a factory reset must be performed.
