Answer | The WPS (Wireless Protected Setup) feature allows Wi-Fi 6E capable devices with WPS feature to establish a Wi-Fi connection to the W6U with a push of a button eliminating the need to search for the SSID and enter the Wi-Fi password. WPS is disabled by default and must be enabled in the W6U Web Manager to allow Wi-Fi connection using the WPS button. Â
This document describes how to enable WPS in the W6U Web Manager and establish Wi-Fi connection using the WPS. Requirements:
- Enable the WPS feature in the W6U.
- Wi-Fi 6E capable devices with WPS feature.
WPS Wi-Fi Connection SetupThe following steps must be performed on a laptop or mobile device that is connected to the home network.
- Launch a web browser and enter https://w6u.local/ into the address box, and press the Enter key.
 - A security or private risk alert may appear on the web browser advising users to proceed with caution when accessing the Web Manager. There is no risk in proceeding to the Web Manager. For instructions to by-pass the alert screen, refer to article # 18181 - Alert Message for Web Manager Access.
NOTE: The Setup Administration page will appear if this is the first time accessing the Web Manager. For assistance, refer to article # 19243 - W6U: Web Manager First Time Login.  - Enter the custom username in the Username field and the custom password into the Password field.
 - Click the Login button. The Network Status page will appear.
 - Click the WPS Settings link in the left-hand menu.
 - Click the WPS Status drop-down menu to select Enabled.
 - Click the OK button to reboot the W6U. After the W6U reboot completes the Login page will return.Â
 - Press the Wi-Fi 6E capable device's physical or software-based WPS button.
 - Press the Sync button on the back panel of the W6U or the WPS button in the Web Manager.
