In some cases, the WR2100 Wireless Repeater may be needed to be reset back to the factory default state. If the WR2100 loses connection to the access point or the ARRIS Setup page is non-responsive, the only option is to reset the unit.  The WR2100 can also be reset back to the factory default by login the web interface.  This document describes how to reset the WR2100 to factory defaults with the reset switch, or by the web interface.

CAUTION: This process will clear all configurations and should be use as the last resort. Â Performing a factory reset will erase any configuration changes that have been made and requires the WR2100 to be reconnected for internet access.Â

NOTE: A factory reset may take 1 to 5 minutes.
- Carefully insert the tip of a pen or an unwound paperclip into the reset switch and press on to it.
- Hold down the Reset switch for 5 -10 seconds and release it.

NOTE: To assure the repeater factory defaults, hold the reset switch for 5 -10 seconds. Â The Power LED light will start to blink Green.

- Make sure the wireless access point is powered on and working properly.Â
- Plug the WR2100 into a power outlet near the wireless access point.
- Press the Power button on the bottom of the WR2100. Â The Power LED stays on for a few seconds then starts blinking. Â Wait until the Power LED becomes solid again to be ready for use.Â
 - Connect an Ethernet cable from the WR2100 to a PC.
- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://www.mywifirepeater.net/ or http://192.168.0.254 into the address box and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.
- On the Login page:
a. Â Enter admin in the Username field.
b. Â Enter password in the Password field.
c. Â Press the Enter key. The ARRIS Setup page appears.

- Click Maintenance under Administration on the left-hand column, the Maintenance page appears.
- On the Maintenance page:
a. Â Click the
Factory Defaults button.

b. Â Click the OK button to initiate the reset.

c. Â Device rebooting in progress should take less than 2 minutes.Â

- Check LED lights to see if device is ready. Â Verify factory reset by login into WR2100 GUI.Â
