If a connectivity issue with WR2100 arises, troubleshooting may resolve the issue, or may provide insight as to what is causing the issue. Â This document provides helpful information for the troubleshooting connectivity issues with the WR2100.

The following troubleshooting steps are to be followed in sequence:
- Internet connectivity
- WR2100 wireless repeater functionality
- WR2100 wireless repeater connection to access point
- Client connection to WR2100 SSID or EthernetÂ
Requirement - A wireless access point must be connected to the Internet for the WR2100 to function.
NOTE: When attempting to connect to the WR2100 GUI, If http://www.mywifirepeater.net is unresolvable, please refer to Article #Â 9518 WR2100: IP Address Lookup

Internet ConnectivityÂ
- Verify Internet connection through the wireless access point. Â
- Contact Internet Service Provider with issues of continual lost of service. Â
WR2100 wireless repeater functionality
- Check Power LED.  Working status is Green.
- If Power LED is not on.  Verify with another electrical wall socket.

- Press Power On/Off button to verify if unit is working properly.Â
- Factory reset using the button.Â
a. Â Use a thin object to press this button and hold for 10 seconds.

WR2100 wireless repeater connection to access point
- Check Access Point/Repeater LED. Verify Green light.
- Reconnect to Site Survey and choose SSID if there is no LED light.
- Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://www.mywifirepeater.net/  in the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.
- On the Login page:
a. Â Enter admin in the Username field.
b. Â Enter password in the Password field.
c. Â Press the Enter key. Â The ARRIS Setup page appears.Â
- On the ARRIS Setup page, click the Wireless from the left-hand menu.  The Wireless page appears.
- On the Wireless page, click the Site Survey button. The Survey page appears.

On the Survey page, a list of available wireless networks will appear. Â Select the appropriate SSIDÂ and click the Next button. Â The Security Settings page appears.Â

NOTE: Take note of the Encryption type and Authentication Mode.Â
        Â

On the Security Settings page
a.  Security System - Click the drop-down tab and select the security that matches the router.Â
b. Pre-Share Key - Enter the wireless key.
Â
NOTE: Please refer to the owner's documentation on locating the key for the wireless access point if unknown.

c.   Encryption - Click the drop-down tab and select the encryption that matches the wireless access point.
d. Â Click on the Save button.Â

Â
The connection of the WR2100 and the wireless access point is successfully established once the Access Point/Repeater LED is on Green.
Client connection to WR2100 SSID or Ethernet
- Check that the Ethernet LEDÂ is Green.Â
- Check that the Repeater/Client LED is Green.Â
a.  Connect to the wireless connection by choosing the SSID name which should be located in MySSID.Â
