Question
How do I establish a wireless connection on Windows 11?
Answer
This document describes how to configure Windows 11 to establish a wireless connection with a Wi-Fi cable modem or router.

Requirements:
  • Network Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Security Key: The default network name and Wi-Fi security key is listed on the bottom label of the Wi-Fi cable modem or router.
  • Custom Network Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Security Key: The custom network name and Wi-Fi security key is in the mobile app or the Web Manager of the Wi-Fi cable modem or router.

Establish Wireless Connection  
  1. Gather the Network Name and Wi-Fi Security Key of the Wi-Fi cable modem or router.
     
  2. Click on the wireless globe icon on the lower right corner of the desktop.

  3. On the network pane, click the Available > icon to mange Wi-Fi connections.

  4. Click the Wi-Fi network to connect to.

  5. Enter the Wi-Fi security key (password) for the selected network in the Enter the network security key field, then click the Next button.

  6. The list of wireless networks will now appear, and the selected network will now show that it is Connected, secured.
