Answer | In some cases, the mAX W11 may need to be reset to its factory default state and clear all of the previous settings. The Factory Reset can be performed by pressing the reset button on the device.  This document describes how to reset the mAX W11 to factory default settings by pressing the reset button.
CAUTION: This process will clear all configurations and should be used as the last resort option.  Performing a Factory Reset will erase any configuration changes that have been made and will require the SURFboard Central app to perform onboarding setup of the mAX W11.
Factory Reset With the Reset Button
The reset will disassociate the mAX W11 from the SURFboard Central app and erase the extender settings. The mAX W11 will need to perform onboarding setup again.Â

- Carefully insert the tip of a pen or the end of an unwound paperclip into the Reset button located on the back of the device.
 - Press and hold down the Reset button for 10 seconds and then release it. Â
