How do I forget a device using the McAfee® Secure Home Internet app?

Answer

The Forget the device option removes the device from the device list and removes all applied Parental Controls or blocked rules. The device is not removed from the home network and does not lose Internet connectivity. When the removed device goes offline and comes back online, the device will be re-added to the device list. The device will be treated as a new device found and the admin can apply new rules. The Forget this device option is used for guest devices. This document describes how to Forget this device.

Forget This Device

Tap the McAfee® Secure Home Internet icon to launch the app. The Home screen will appear.
On the Home screen, tap on Devices. The Devices screen will appear.
On the Devices screen, tap on a device to forget. The device details screen will appear.
On the device details screen, tap the Forget this device option. A prompt for "Forget the device?" will appear.
On the prompt, tap the Continue button. The Devices screen will appear.
The Devices screen will be updated with the device removed.
