Answer | The ARRIS SURFboard Manager app provides the ability to check the status of the Internet connection. If there are problems with Internet connectivity, this provides a quick method to determine if the issue is with the connection to the Internet Provider. This document describes how to check the internet status on the ARRIS Wi-Fi product using the ARRIS SURFboard Manage app.
Check the Internet Status
- Tap the SURFboard icon. The Login screen will appear.
- On the Login screen, enter admin in the Username field and password in the Password field.
NOTE: If the default login credentials were previously changed please enter custom credentials. If the customized login credentials are forgotten a factory reset must be performed by pressing the reset button for more than 10 seconds on the SURFboard Wi-Fi product. This will reset all customized settings back to the factory default settings. - Tap the Login button. The ARRIS home screen will appear.
 - On the SURFboard Home screen, locate the Internet icon in the Status section.
- If there is a green check mark on the Internet icon, the Internet connection to the ISP is functional. For more information, tap on the Internet icon.
 - On the Internet Connection screen, a message will be displayed stating "Your Wireless Gateway is connected to the Internet"
 - If there is a red X mark on the Internet icon, the Internet connection to the ISP is unavailable. For more information, tap on the Internet icon.
 - On the Internet Connection screen, a message will be displayed with troubleshooting tips.
