WR2100: Admin Login Setup

When attempting to access the WR2100's configuration menu, it will prompt for a username and password.  By default, the username is admin, and the password is password.  Only the WR2100's password can be changed. This document describes how to change the admin password of the WR2100. 

Changing the Password

1. Make sure the wireless access point is powered on and working properly. 
2. Plug the WR2100 into a power outlet near the wireless access point.
3. Press the Power button on the bottom of the WR2100.  The Power LED stays on for a few seconds then starts blinking.  Wait until the Power LED becomes solid again to be ready for use.
   
   
    
4. Connect an Ethernet cable from the WR2100 to a PC.
5. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://www.mywifirepeater.net/ or http://192.168.0.254 into the address box and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.
6. On the Login page:
   a.   Enter admin in the Username field.

   b.   Enter password in the Password field.

   c.   Press the Enter key.  The ARRIS Setup page appears.
   
   
    
7. Click the Maintenance from the left-hand menu.  The Maintenance page appears.
8. On the Maintenance page:
   a.   Old Password - Enter the current login password.
   b.   New Password - Enter a new login password of choice.
   c.   Verify Password - Re-enter the new login password.
   d.   Click the Save button.
    
   NOTE: Passwords are case sensitive.  A restart is not required, as the settings will immediately go into effect.
