Question
How I do connect a router to my SURFboard modem?
Answer
When using a router with a SURFboard modem, the WAN port of the router must connect to the Ethernet port of the modem.  Depending on the router manufacturer, the WAN port may have a different name, such as Internet port.  The remainder of the network devices (e.g. computer, printer, smartphone) will need to connect to the router.

NOTE 1: If the modem has a USB port, that USB port cannot be used with this setup.

NOTE 2: For information on setting up the router, please contact the router manufacturer.
